Off the beaten path: Haiti

Haiti is a country with a troubled past and is the poorest nation in the Western hemisphere. However, this destination's rich culture and history are very interesting and attract a lot of people who like to travel off the beaten path. Haitian Voodoo is, of course, of a particular interest to the visitors, being the official religion of the country. Besides that, the weird and unusual places to visit are a macabre sculpture museum in Port-Au-Prince, the Saint-d'Eau waterfalls, palaces and citadels.
