Off the beaten path: Montserrat

Montserrat is a former Carribean resort, recovering from volcanic and cyclone activity since the 1990s. It has become an off the beaten path destination, since it suffers from intermittent volcanic eruptions. The main thing to see for the brave ones and for the lovers of weird ghost towns, is, of course, the Soufriere Hills volcano, the observatory and the creepy abandoned places. There are also very interesting boat trips, scuba diving and kayaking activities.
